Ok, let's see where to start. I'll start off with the concept itself:

Concept: In the magician world, the concept of the rabbit being created in the hat is not original, rather it is a beloved simple technique used by magicians in various magic shows. You could say that it's the grandfather of magic. As an icon, though, this stands as a most original idea; and because of the dimensions the hat has, it can turn out to be a fantastic icon.

Bottom line: Original concept, not overdone.

Technique: The technique you used is flat colors, without that much shading, and less than enough out-line distinguishable. It does look like a hat and a rabbit, but the animation could've been done better: For instance, in the jump animation, it looks more like it is being pulled out by invisible hands rather than a jump. The "fireworks" look too static - you should read some tutorials on explosives and movement of fire to improve your 'effects' in this. As far as the shape goes, i can definitely see a hat and a rabbit in it - as far as colors go, it seems un-logical - usually, the inside of the hat is darker than the outside, whereas this time it's not the case - unless you've got a small weak light source in the inside of the hat, which i doubt is the case. The perspective seems a bit off - that red part of the hat - is it supposed to be parallel with the hat? If yes, then it doesn't seem to be parallel.

Bottom line: Fix the animation, maybe add a blink or two, fix the shading, that red part and it'll be good to go.

Impact: This image does not have that much impact on me. This can be changed by fixing the problems I've addressed above above in the technique section. A bit of shading, a bit of out-lining, a bit of saturating, and a bit of animation will make this a great icon. Try working with a bigger and more cartoony looking rabbit, a much more younger and cuter one.

All in all, it does have potential to be a great animation as it is a fairly original idea. But then again, concept is not much worth if the execution is really flawed. I suggest you work on this one a bit more, maybe starting from scratch - your icon, for example, is how it should look like in detail. Stick to that style, add some shading technique you like, outlines of course as well and the animation as in a whole will be great.

Hope you appreciate my sincere thoughts on this piece.
